With Tru Blu Racing not competing in any races in 2011, some of our riders have opted to temporarily jump ship to keep the legs ticking over in preparation for the 2012 season. Rhys, Wade and Paul joined forces with the Blueshift Racing Team, who rode to victory at Round 2 of the Australian HPV Super Series on the weekend.
Tru Blu Racing has developed a great relationship with Blueshift over the last few years, enjoying many close battles on the racing track, including our victory over Blueshift by just 1 lap at the 2008 AIPP! Blueshift riders have also ridden for us in the past, and we were happy to return the favour this year. The team had to overcome many mechanical problems, with a number of flats interrupting their race, but the pace of the team and vehicle was consistently high from the beginning and they managed to claw their way back to win by less than a lap over Trisled-Fresh Racing. Blueshift is now in good shape for a high finish at Murray Bridge, where our team members will also be joining them once again.
